ANIMAL WELFARE
At AccelLAB we believe in the ethical and humane conduct of our studies. Our team of experienced and highly trained professionals is dedicated to uphold the highest standards in animal care, including the guidelines of the National Research Council. AccelLAB is fully accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC International) and the Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC).
Veterinary Care
Consists of a full time veterinarian assisted by vet-aid technicians to ensure the health of all laboratory animals.
Animal Welfare Committee
Our animal welfare committee consists of veterinarians, scientists, animal health technicians and animal care staff, as well two members of the public who are independent non-scientific members. The role of this committee is to ensure that all animals are treated with care and respect.
