MEDICAL IMAGING
Recent medical and biotechnological developments have significantly improved our capacity for sophisticated medical imagery. AccelLAB has established an operating room equipped with a CT scanner (Siemens Somatom Sensation 16) creating a fully functional hybrid room useful both in cardiovascular peripheral devices and orthopedics. In addition , AccelLAB has two fully functional cardiac catheterization laboratories equipped with digital angiography systems. The catheterization laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) Doppler and Intra-Cardiac Echography (ICE) systems. All are essential tools for the conduct of highly precise cardiac preclinical studies. Also available on-site are Micro-CT (SkyScan) and MRI scanners (Siemens Magnetom Sonata Syngo 1.5 Tesla) operated by skilled technical staff experienced in the evaluation of myocardial function and musculoskeletal studies.
