ORTHOPEDICS AND BIOMATERIALS

Orthopedics

AccelLAB provides evaluation services for orthopedic medical devices from the proof of concept to regulatory submission in a GLP environment. State-of-the-art imaging modalities include computer tomography imaging (CT scanner), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), high-definition radiography (Faxitron), and micro computed tomography (Micro-CT). Diverse histological end-points are quantitatively assessed using manual and software-guided automated histomorphometry. A full histopathological analysis and quantitative report is provided by experienced veterinary pathologists.

Additional Services

The Orthopedics & Biomaterials Lab can assist you in the planning and the development of both short and long-term animal studies that are fully compliant with regulatory agencies regarding the biocompatibility evaluation of orthopaedic devices. Equivalent biocompatibility and biomechanical testing following ISO 10993 and ASTM standards are also available upon request.
